stump knocker

SWAMP HEAD BREWERY – GAINESVILLE, FL

STUMP KNOCKER

We named our pale ale after the notoriously feisty Stumpknocker fish, whose fight is so fierce you might think you’ve hooked into the lunker.
True to form, this pale ale remains smooth and drinkable but keeps the same hop-headed attitude as the biggest boy in the pond.
Stump Knocker enjoys a generous dry hop addition, producing a sharp, hop centered ale with a crisp and balanced finish.

NEW BELGIUM BREWING CO. – FORT COLLINS, CO

FAT TIRE

Named in honor of our founder Jeff’s bike trip through Belgium, Fat Tire Amber Ale marks a turning point in the young electrical engineer’s home brewing. Belgian beers use a far broader palette of ingredients (fruits, spices, esoteric yeast strains) than German or English styles. Jeff found the Belgian approach freeing. Upon his return, Jeff created Fat Tire and Abbey Belgian Ale, (assuming Abbey would be his big gun). He and his wife, Kim traveled around sampling their homebrews to the public. Fat Tire’s appeal quickly became evident. People liked everything about it. Except the name. Fat Tire won fans is in its sense of balance: toasty, biscuit-like malt flavors coasting in equilibrium with hoppy freshness.

VOLLBIER HELL

MUNICH HELLES LAGER

A product of traditional multiple mashing, Andechser Vollbier Hell presents a bright straw yellow and clear gleaming look that cannot fail to fascinate.

Its head is firm and fine pored. Its aroma is pure and fresh from the cellar, with soft malty accents imbued with floral hoppiness. Its light and soft body leaves a pleasant, tangy taste in the mouth. The mild sweetness marries well with the velvety bitterness of the hops. It concludes on a rounded, harmonious note.

Andechser Vollbier Hell is therefore a classical Bavarian Vollbier.
